Strata and XMAS Mass Absorption Coefficients.

    ALL the MACs can be displayed and modified.

Absorption Coefficients

Origin of the MACs for Z > F

· For the atomic number greater than Fluor, Strata and XMAS use the Heinrich values. K. F. J. Heinrich (mac86) Proc. 11th IXCOM, 1987, page 67

· Specific values have been changed, they are: AsLa->Ga, SKa->Au, MoLa->Au, HgMb->Au, AuMb->Pt.

· Finally the Self Absorption MACs for the L lines from Sc to Cu have also been changed.

Origin of the MACs for light elements

· From Be to F, they are coming from L. Henke Atomic Data and Nuclear Data Tables 27: 1, 1982.

· In this set, a number of MACs have been measured and computed by bastin and Pouchou:
For BKa in B, C, N, Si, Ti, V, Fe, Co, Ni, Zr, Nb, Mo, La, Ce, Pr, Hf, Ta, W, U. For Cka in B, C, Si, Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Zr, Nb, Mo, Tc, La, Ce, Pr, Hf, Ta, W.
For NKa in N, Si, Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Nb, Mo, Tc, Ru, Rh, Hf, Ta.
Finally for OKa in B, Al, Cr, Zr, Nb, Mo, Sn, W.
