Entering Data into the program

As illustrated below, the Relative Intensities can be entered manually for each Accelerating Voltage value.

Entering Data

Element/X-ray line/Standard

The relative intensities (Ix/Istd) are measured by comparison with pure standard (no name in the standrd field), compound or startified. In the last two cases, the composition and structure must be entered in the standard menu.

Measurements (Acc. Voltage & Ix/Istd)

The number of measurements (number of accelerating voltage values) is independant per element. The relarive intensity is entered in front of each accelelerating volatge. The K-ratio is calculated during the iteration, this value is the same as the relative intensity value in the case of oure standards.

Data entered from external results files

Strata can read data files from several X-ray manufacturers, they are:

· JEOL 8800 et 8900.

· KEVEX Sigma

· EDAX DX4

· CAMECA DEC/SX50

· CAMECA SUN/SX50

· CAMECA SUN/SX100.
