MaxView XL is the new SAMx imaging software linked to the EDS. MaxView XL allows the acquisition and display of X-ray maps without any knowledge on the elements in the sample. The software is totally integrated in MaxView and communicates with IDFix to display any sub-set image spectrum.

·Acquisition at each pixel of the all spectrum, each pixel-spectrum is saved onto the disk in a compressed format without any lost of information. The information can be uncompressed and displayed very quickly.

. Interactive display with IDFix of an integrated spectrum along one line of any portion of the image, including the total spectrum of the image.
